Wildflower Learning Community was built on a simple belief: children thrive when they feel known, safe, and genuinely excited about learning. Our hybrid model offers the best of both worlds — the connection and structure of in-person instruction, paired with the flexibility and independence of learning at home, all within small classes where every child is truly seen.

Hi, I'm Jennifer Terrell, one of the co-founders of Wildflower Learning Community. I've spent 17 years teaching in New Mexico public schools, most recently as a Level III Teacher and Technology Mentor, and I hold a Master's in Instructional Design and Technology from Walden University along with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education. Along the way, I've mentored new teachers, led school-wide technology training, and served on professional learning communities focused on turning assessment data into real instructional improvement.
I believe every learner deserves an education built around them — not a one-size-fits-all classroom. Through individualized tutoring and a thoughtfully designed hybrid homeschool curriculum, I partner closely with each family to create a learning experience that's both rigorous and genuinely enjoyable. I'd love the opportunity to help your child thrive.
My faith is very important to me and shapes how I approach my work and my family. I'm grateful for a supportive husband and two wonderful children — my daughter, 21, is an EMT Intermediate, and my son, 17, is a high school senior. In my free time, you'll usually find me hiking, playing soccer, at a basketball game with my son, or simply enjoying time with my family.
Hi, I'm Amy Stiers, and I'm so glad you're here.
I spent 27 years teaching in the classroom — mostly 1st and 2nd grade — and also served as a school librarian at the elementary and middle school levels. If you ask me what I love most about teaching, it's this: watching a child sound out their very first word, and then watching that spark grow into a genuine love of reading. That passion has shaped my entire career, and it's still what gets me excited every single day.
I hold a Bachelor's degree with a K-8 Elementary Education credential, along with a Bachelor's degree in Education focused on School Library and Information Technology.
After I retired, I thought I'd slow down a bit — but instead, I found myself tutoring and walking alongside homeschool families in our community. Over that year, I kept hearing the same thing: homeschooling is a beautiful calling, but it can also be a lot to carry alone. That's what led me to co-found Wildflower Learning Community.
Faith is an important part of my life, and it shapes the heart behind everything we do at Wildflower. My hope is to create a place where your family feels supported, encouraged, and truly known — somewhere that feels like home.
A little more about me: I've been married for 31 years, and I'm mom to two kids — one grown and one heading off to college this fall! In my free time, you'll usually find me with a book in hand, out in the garden, sewing something, or baking in the kitchen.
My hope for Wildflower Learning Community is simple: that every child who walks through our doors discovers a lifelong love of learning, and that every family finds a community that feels like family.
